Admissions :- Students are admitted through counselling based on SEE-UPTU and AIEEE ranks. The SEE-UPTU exam is held in the 3rd week of April and the results are generally announced the next month. Over 85% seats the students are admitted through counselling and rest 15% through management quota.
Administrative Block
The college has 21.5 acres (87,000 m2) of campus housing the academic departments as well as providing residential facilities to students and faculty. The campus has class rooms, laboratories, drawing hall, workshops, library, conference hall, and student support facilities like hostels, canteen, stationery shop, medicalsupport, transport, and students activity center(SAC). The newer blocks built recently are equipped with dual elevator facility. Campus is under CCTV camera surveillance. The college also provides Punjab National Bank ATM facility at its entrance gate and 24-hr Nescafe coffee Shop, and a mini restaurant BIG TREAT for hostel students. It also provides 24-hr ambulance facility in campus. An ambulance is available to serve the students to the hospitals in the region. The college has carried out various changes in its infrastructure since its foundation. It has a playground where all the sporting events take place.
Hostels :- Hostel complex
There are three boys halls of residence, Aryabhatta hall of residence for the third-year students, Vivekanand hall of residence for fourth-year students, and Tagore hall of residence for the second-year students. Sarojini hall of residence is the hostel for girls. Another girls’ hostel is newly constructed beside Sarojini Hall of Residence which is Saraswati. It is a 5-storied building with lift facility. A new hostel for girls has been constructed, named Gargi in the college campus and has been in function since September, 2013. Residence for first year boys is set up outside the college campus as an anti-ragging measure. The first-year hostels are Om Sai Hostel and Atithi hostel which can accommodate 350 male students each. Om Sai Hostel has been in function since August, 2012. It is located far off from the college campus near Bundelkhand Industrial area, Ghaziabad.Management and OrganizationThe college is managed by Krishna Charitable trust. The head of the institution in the Director General who is assisted by a Director responsible for day to day decisions and an Additional Director. In addition, three deans for Academics, Student Affairs and Research and development are also there.
Life at KIET:- College marks presence of students from different states of India. Most of them belong to the states of Uttar Pradesh & New Delhi. Daily classes are held from 09:00 to 17:00 hrs with weekends off. There are many societies and clubs in college which carry out technical and cultural events. Internet connection is available for the hostel students during non-college hours.There is a gymnasium, tennis court, basketball court, badminton court, cricket ground, volleyball. Special screening of matches is organized during crucial matches of Indian cricket team.A well structured Auditorium has been constructed recently along with an indoor Badminton court.The distance of college from Delhi is just 30 K.M. making to convenient to connect to New Delhi.
